EVA foam is a cross-linked copolymer of Ethylene and Vinyl Acetate (VA).
The Vinyl Acetate content typically ranges between 10% and 40%, controlling its softness, elasticity, and resilience.
- Low VA content (10–15%) → Higher stiffness, better chemical resistance.
- High VA content (20–40%) → Softer, better flexibility, improved cushioning.
The foam is expanded through a closed-cell cross-linking process, ensuring zero air or water permeability, making it completely waterproof and buoyant.

- Specific gravity between 0.03 to 0.25, making EVA one of the lightest engineering foams.
- Maintains excellent dimensional stability under mechanical stress or compression.

- EVA’s thermal conductivity is low (0.033–0.045 W/m·K), giving excellent heat retention and insulation.
