๐Ÿงฉ PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

The RUBASIA Anti-Vibration Rubber Pad (RRA-AVP Series) is a high-performance elastomeric damping solution engineered to isolate dynamic and impact vibrations generated by rotating, reciprocating, or oscillating machinery. It effectively reduces mechanical shock, structure-borne noise, and fatigue stress, ensuring greater machine precision, operator comfort, and structural longevity.

Designed for use under compressors, pumps, chillers, blowers, generators, presses, HVAC units, CNC machines, and heavy industrial foundations, the pad delivers consistent performance under both static and cyclic loads, suitable for tropical, humid, and coastal climates in Sabah, Sarawak, and Brunei.

โš™๏ธ ENGINEERING FUNCTION

Vibration occurs when mechanical systems oscillate at frequencies corresponding to operational imbalance, resonance, or external excitation.
The Anti-Vibration Rubber Pad interrupts this vibration pathway through three mechanical mechanisms:

  1. Energy Absorption:
    The rubber compound converts mechanical kinetic energy into heat through internal molecular friction (hysteresis), reducing amplitude.
  2. Elastic Deflection:
    The pad’s compressive modulus allows deflection without volumetric change, distributing load evenly while maintaining structural support.
  3. Vibration Isolation:
    The natural frequency of the pad (fn) is tuned below machine excitation frequency, minimizing transmissibility (T).

T=(1−r2)2+(2ξr)2 1

where:
r = Frequency ratio (fe/fn), ξ = Damping ratio (0.08–0.15 typical for NR/EPDM rubber).

At r > √2, transmissibility < 1, achieving effective isolation.

๐Ÿง  VIBRATION THEORY (ENGINEERING REFERENCE)

  • Natural Frequency (fn):
    fn = (1/2π) √(k/m)
    where k = stiffness (N/m), m = supported mass (kg)
  • Transmissibility (T):
    When operating frequency (fe) > 1.4 × fn, vibration isolation efficiency exceeds 80%.
  • Energy Loss Factor (η):
    η = 2π × ξ (Damping ratio)
    Higher η = better energy dissipation → less structure-borne noise.
  • Load Deflection Relationship:
    Δh = (W / (A × E')) × h
    where W = load, A = area, E' = modulus of elasticity, h = thickness.

๐Ÿช› INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

  1. Surface Preparation:
    Ensure the base and machine bottom are clean, dry, and level.
  2. Pad Layout:
    Mark pad positions at each support point. Distribute equally for balance.
  3. Cutting:
    Use a sharp utility knife to cut pad to required size.
  4. Placement:
    Place pad directly under machine feet or base frame.
  5. Level Adjustment:
    For uneven floors, stack pads or insert shims for alignment.
  6. Anchoring (Optional):
    Drill holes through pad and base for anchor bolts (if required).
  7. Inspection:
    Check after 24–48 hours of operation for uniform compression and alignment.
