Material Description

RUBASIA’s FKM Fluoroelastomer Rubber Sheet is manufactured using premium-grade copolymer or terpolymer of vinylidene fluoride (VDF) with hexafluoropropylene (HFP) and/or tetrafluoroethylene (TFE), ensuring exceptional thermal stability, chemical resistance, and low permeability to gases.
The cross-linked polymer backbone is engineered for high molecular weight retention under oxidative stress, making it suitable for long-term service in aggressive chemical and high-temperature environments found in Sabah, Sarawak, and Brunei industrial sectors.

 

Performance Characteristics

• Fuel & Chemical Resistance: Maintains sealing integrity when exposed to aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, xylene), aliphatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, concentrated acids, and fuels including diesel, gasoline, jet fuel (Jet A-1, JP-8), and LPG.
• Thermal Endurance: Superior resistance to thermal degradation up to +250°C, making it ideal for exhaust flange gaskets, turbocharger seals, and high-temperature process equipment.
• Compression Set Resistance: Low compression set at elevated temperatures, ensuring long-term sealing performance in static and dynamic gasket applications.
• Weather & UV Stability: Resistant to ozone cracking, photochemical degradation, and tropical humidity, allowing reliable outdoor service in Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Miri, and Bandar Seri Begawan.
• Gas Permeability: Low permeation rates to fuel vapours and industrial gases, meeting stringent leakage standards in oil & gas facilities in Labuan, Bintulu, and Kuala Belait.
